Empowering Women through the Development and Implementation of Entrepreneurship in Rural Tourism in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan – an Erasmus+ CBHE initiative

      GENERAL INFORMATION

The DIANA online training platform brings together a set of training modules designed to strengthen capacities in rural tourism entrepreneurship, with a particular focus on sustainability, inclusion, and the empowerment of rural women.

The training is developed under a Training of Trainers (ToT) approach and targets academic and non-academic staff from Higher Education Institutions, as well as professionals involved in entrepreneurship support and regional development.

The program focuses on three main dimensions:

      • Understanding rural tourism systems and their impact on local development
      • Developing practical entrepreneurial skills tailored to rural contexts
      • Integrating sustainability, digitalization, and gender-inclusive approaches into tourism and entrepreneurship education

A transversal module is also included to support innovative and learner-centered teaching methodologies, enabling participants to apply and replicate the knowledge within their institutions.

All modules are delivered in a blended format, combining synchronous online sessions with asynchronous learning activities hosted on this Moodle platform. Participants can access materials at any time and progress at their own pace.

      • Module 3 explores global trends shaping tourism, such as sustainability, climate change, and inclusive development.
      • Module 4 (Transversal) supports the development of innovative teaching methodologies, including Project-Based Learning, mentoring, and digital tools, and is integrated across all ToTs.
    • TRAINING STRUCTURE – TRAINING OF TRAINERS (ToTS)

The DIANA training program is organized into three Training of Trainers (ToT) cycles, each combining online and on-site components and focusing on specific thematic areas.
